Dear Members,

It’s the time of year where on the H&C Committee we start to prepare for next season’s golfing at our great club.

Attached you will find two documents which might assist you in diary planning for 2026:
* Details of the necessary qualifying criteria for club 2026 knockout competitions - entry to which will be open from 20th February until 31st March 2026. The listing of Club Knockouts will be published in February 2026, but for the first time at HGC there will be** a new competition for Play More Golf Members only.**
* The current draft of the weekend competition golfing calendar for Mixed and Men’s Section weekend golf from now until the end of October 2026 - these events will be put into the Club V1/HDID calendar during the early months of 2026 – the dates may change due to any unforeseen circumstances – any changes will be notified to you separately.

At the recent AGM of the Golf Club it was decided that from 1st April 2026 the cost of entry for Board Competitions will rise by £1.00 to £4.00. The cost of entry to non Board Competitions will remain at £3.00 and 2’s entry will remain optional at £1.00.

Finally, watch out for further announcements about the new HowDidIDo App (downloadable from your mobile App Store) which launches in January replacing fully the current version.
