What is The 1906 Club

The 1906 Club is an association of those Clubs founded in 1906 who have agreed to offer courtesy of their courses to Members of other 1906 Clubs.

More than 60 clubs were founded in 1906 and to-date over 40 Clubs have joined the 1906 Club.

Please read the instructions below before applying for a courtesy round of golf to the host Club Secretary/Manager.

RULES OF THE 1906 CLUB

Members of Halesowen Golf Club may apply to play at any 1906 Club that is on the list and located more than 50 miles from Halesowen. (It is possible that by mutual agreement with certain golf clubs this condition may be waived). 

FREQUENCY OF VISIT

No member would be expected to visit any one club more than once per annum except if a particular agreement is reached between the clubs. 

LIMIT OF MEMBERS ON ANY ONE VISIT

The number of golfers on any one visit is limited to a maximum of eight. 

THE PROCEDURE

Playing Members wishing to visit a 1906 Club should contact the Secretary of the club they wish to visit and check availability for the date and time they would like to play. A number of clubs are unable to accept visitors at weekends – the list of Member Clubs gives an indication regarding weekend availability. 

Letter of introduction must be obtained from Halesowen Golf Club Secretary/Manager for presentation or an email sent to the Secretary of the golf club being visited.

Halesowen Golf  Club will offer courtesy to fellow 1906 Club members. Please extend a warm welcome to all our 1906 visitors.
